Meet the Band
The players behind the harmonies, musicianship, and room-winning live show.
The High-D Boys are built around strong voices, smart players, and the kind of live chemistry that keeps rooms engaged. From trio sets to larger full-band configurations, the lineup scales to the room without losing energy, identity, or momentum.
Flexible lineup. Strong players. Very few bad ideas.
Robert K. Blomker II
Lead Vocals, Ukulele, Melodica, Booking
Robert is the frontman, connective tissue, and controlled chaos at the center of the show. With a ukulele in hand and a sharp instinct for pacing the room, he helps turn a setlist into an actual live experience. His vocals, personality, and feel for the crowd give the band its pulse, whether the room calls for warmth, singalongs, or a left turn at exactly the right moment.
Phil Clevinger
Vocals, Wash Tub Bass, Trumpet, Trombone, Sousaphone, Booking
Phil brings range, color, and a borderline unfair number of instruments to the lineup. He is a major part of the band’s harmonic core and the guy most likely to make the room ask, “Wait, is that a sousaphone?” He also helps keep the calendar moving and the wheels on, which is no small thing. Brass, bass, vocals, logistics — Phil covers a lot of ground, and somehow still makes it look casual.
Dan Reyes
Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
Dan brings strong rhythm, grounded vocals, and the kind of steady live presence that keeps the set moving. He has a sharp ear, a sharp wit, and a way of making songs feel locked in without making them feel stiff. Every band needs somebody who can hold the center without hogging it. Dan does that, then sneaks in a one-liner.
Mike Kelly
Vocals, Banjo, Acoustic Guitar
Mike brings drive, texture, and serious musical horsepower to the band. Whether he is on banjo or guitar, he adds movement and lift to the set, especially when the room wants something with a little extra spark. He is also one of the band’s strongest arranging minds, helping shape the sound in ways that make the whole show hit harder.
Jacob Olsen
Vocals, Cajon, Percussion
Jacob is the rhythmic anchor of the band — the guy keeping everything moving while the rest of the room catches up. His percussion work gives the show feel, pocket, and momentum, and his instincts help the band stay locked without losing looseness. He also contributes vocals, which means he is doing more work than the cajon lets on.
James Peck
Vocals, Mandolin, Guitar
James adds detail, flavor, and a little healthy unpredictability to the mix. His mandolin work gives the band one more dimension, and his vocal presence helps widen the sound without crowding it. He also brings just enough mischief to keep rehearsals, stages, and probably the rest of the band from getting too comfortable.
Sam Prince
Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
Joining the band in 2024, Sam brought strong vocals, a polished musical background, and the kind of live presence that makes the whole lineup deeper. He adds flexibility, range, and another confident voice to the show, which matters when the set needs to expand without losing cohesion. He is also still new enough that the rest of the band can pretend making him carry things is a tradition.
The lineup changes. The standard doesn’t.
Whether it is a lean trio or a bigger stage setup, The High-D Boys are built to deliver the same thing every time: strong harmonies, smart musicianship, real crowd connection, and a live show people remember.
